Another day in Mojito Bay

 It is the Pirate Festival in Mahone Bay NS. I love those theatrical types they hired last year to run around being all swarthy like in their "Johnny Depp" pirate gear.  A couple were quite cute. I don't mind being harassed by those ones!
Have great friends coming in from T.O. I am so looking forward to some  great conversations. I was in the studio today trying to complete a commission. Sometimes I think it would be best to just pack it all in, and run off to Italy. That is my dream. I will do it someday. My Villa will be surrounded by white roses (my favourite) and I will have Egyptian cotton sheets on my bed. (Screw those of you who make fun of me for that, you have no idea what you are missing. You know who you are!)  Perhaps it is because you have never slept on them!
I will stay in my studio this evening and become covered in paint...........

It's All About Me!

What a year! Learned so much this winter. Mostly about other people and myself. Then, as a result, got my mojo back. Have been lucky with commissions, and sales this year in spite of the sad state of the economy.  A huge thank you to my sister who puts up with her crazy artist sibling and sometimes gives her a bit of a shove when needed. I love you!
I have decided to write more frequently on this blog . Someone suggested that I write about my experiences in art and life (as art reflects life. Right?) There may be times when I am writing whilst spilling wine on the keyboard but, so be it. Some things may be a rant, others not so much. We'll see. I received an email from someone asking me to write about my creative process. I like that idea. I will for sure but, heads up guy who wrote the email, it depends on whether its a Martini, Mojito, or Red Wine!
